Fairly enjoyable but incredibly over priced
The location and swimming pool/spa element was good
The staff (except Nikolai who was helpful). The hard floors as there were no slippers on offer. Cost of breakfast. Biggest problem was that despite paying in full ahead of visit they tried to charge me once about a week or so before and then again when I arrived. First time they said was a mistake, second time was a deposit that was not mentioned at any point during booking/ on my confirmation.

Pool area was nice & the wellness room was really nice
Gym was really small and our room didn’t get cleaned on the 2nd to last day. Also not enough lights, room was very dark

The hotel room was really clean, and the spa and wellness were also very clean! The staff are friendly and the location is still very central but far from all the chaos of the city centre. Less than 20 mins from Amsterdam Centraal.
It was my partner's birthday and we were also celebrating our anniversary as we couldn't in January due to a bereavement so I decided to surprise him with a trip to Amsterdam + a gorgeous hotel. When I initially booked I requested for a note and some rose petals and it was confirmed this could be done. After this was confirmed, I messaged another 3 times, and called the hotel to confirm this, upon arriving to my room, none of this was done. Was a massive disappointment, factoring in that it was confirmed and I sent multiple reminders. I also stressed how important this was to me when I initially requested for this. Additionally, during the early hours of the morning (3am-7am) my spa bath made a horrible loud noise that woke us up and completely disturbed our sleep, it sounded like someone was starting a car in our room and was so loud it felt like our room was shaking. We tried to press every and any button, and tried the take the card out in the wall near our door and it continued. I tried to call reception multiple times and I got no answer. Come check out time, I was completely exhausted and had no energy to do anything I planned to on our last day before our flight. When I told reception about this before checking out, all I was told was my tub was in self cleaning mode however it had been hours since the tub had been used and the noise went off multiple times- and to top it off I didn't even receive an apology, just told it was self-cleaning and to wait for my deposit to get back. The hotel was beautiful but these two points I'm making just made it feel more exhausting than relaxing, and the fact that none was remedied and I was not told upon arrival that it would start self-cleaning in the middle of the night and keep me up. I can emphasise enough how nothing was done to rectify the situation.
